Your community is our community.
Our bankers care about helping our entire community thrive and prosper.
Yes, our approach to doing business has earned us a reputation as a bank you can depend on, but our commitment to you goes beyond financial services.
Our clients count on us to support the people and organizations working to build and care for our communities. Our culture is deeply rooted in the values of service and philanthropy, and we believe strong communities are built with local volunteers, donations and leadership.
We are proud of the time, energy and compassion our associates dedicate by volunteering for many local non-profit organizations each year.
From sponsoring a basketball scoreboard, to tutoring elementary school students, to raising funds for the United Way or serving as board members on local committees, you’ll find us involved in every aspect of the areas we serve.
These are just some of the many ways we’re active in our community. It’s an honor to work alongside our friends and neighbors.
Hundreds of families get Share-a-Christmas love from First-Knox

Former Buckeye Candy and Tobacco building renovation
First-Knox was honored to be part of Kenyon College’s efforts to renovate the former Buckeye Candy and Tobacco building in downtown Mount Vernon. Kenyon’s vision for the building provides classroom opportunities for the college’s film program as well as their Office for Community Partnerships. The building will provide a new expanded home for SPI (Science Playspace Initiative, formerly known as SPIspot), a science and play discovery space for families. First-Knox is pleased to be part of Kenyon and SPI’s growth!
Ariel-Foundation Park Concert Series
The development of Ariel-Foundation Park has been in the works since 2000. Over the years, many steps have been taken to bring the park to its current state as a local outdoor recreation destination. In addition to providing a covered pavilion for picnics and gatherings, First-Knox is pleased to support of a number of events that take place at the park. The annual outdoor Concert Series continues to grow in popularity, and the park is an excellent location for 5Ks, outdoor movie night, and much more.
Fairs and Festivals
First-Knox is pleased to continue to provide financial support for various festivals and fairs in all of our markets. Whether it’s purchasing animals at the junior fair auctions or participating in the festival’s parade, we’re there! We are the title sponsor for the Dan Emmett Music and Arts Festival in Mount Vernon, and support festivals throughout Holmes, Knox, Morrow, and southern Richland counties.
