First-Knox National Bank Names Boss Executive Vice President

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – Robert E. Boss was appointed executive vice president of The First-Knox National Bank (First-Knox) at the December meeting of the board of directors.

“I look forward to Bob’s transition to this leadership role at First-Knox. He has played an integral role in developing our Holmes and Wayne County markets and this promotion will provide him the opportunity to participate in all First-Knox operations,” said Vickie A. Sant, president of First-Knox National Bank.

Boss is no stranger to the financial services industry. He has been in banking for over 30 years, with a focus on commercial lending and relationship building. “I’m very happy about this new role,” Boss stated. “It feels like the next logical step in my career. This position will provide me the opportunity to broaden my focus on First-Knox to the bank as a whole, rather than one piece of our market. I’m also looking forward to getting involved in the local community”.

Bob Boss graduated magna cum laude from Mount Union College. He joined First-Knox in 2007 as part of the Ohio Legacy Bank acquisition.

Boss is very active in the Holmes County and Millersburg communities. He is the president of Historic Downtown Millersburg and serves on numerous boards including the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce, Holmes County Economic Development, Holmes County Training Center, and Eastern Ohio Development Alliance.

Boss resides in Millersburg and has three children: Taylor, Peyton, and Courtney. He will begin transitioning to Mount Vernon over the next nine to twelve months.
